Summer is not the only time to race your bike in New Brunswick.
Clubs around the province are organizing events for you to enjoy. Fat Bikes and winter riding has been on the rise in the province, and there are a couple of upcoming events to test your skills.
This Sunday the 15th, Crabbe Mountain and River Valley Cycling are organizing the Winter Bike Dual Slalom. This ski-inspired event pits two riders against each other on two identical man-made tracks side-by-side with the same jumps and berms. All bikes are welcome to take part, with or without studded tires.
On the 4th of February, Mountain Bike Minto is hosting the Fat-Tired Coal Miner Winter Bike Race. Held on the fabulous trails in Minto, it’s an event that is sure to be great. The race will take place in a wave/time trial format. Participants will self-organize into waves of 5 participants, with waves leaving at 1:00 minute intervals.
