FeaturedContent_EventsThe month of May brings the start of Velo NB’s event season. There are 2 non-competitive events, as well as the start of two club series in the province. Don’t forget your general membership is only $30 and covers you for all NB events and provides a discount in club events. Ride with us! Avec nous, ça roule!

This weekend we have the Fitworks Prison Break Gravel Grind on the 15th located in Dieppe. All profit from the Prison Break ride will be divided between the Fitworks Active Club (non profit club) to help organize more rides and events and Codiac Cycling Trails to maintain and develop trails in the area. On May 29th The Radical Edge Gravel Grind to support Special Olympics will be held in Fredericton. There are three different distances to choose from and challenge yourself. This is the second year of the Gravel Grind in Fredericton, and it is sure to be a blast. Fundy Sports and Tourism is leading the charge this year in preparing a 5 race TT series in Bloomfield. The first event in the series is Wednesday the 18th, with a TT scheduled for every month from May to September. Velo NB member’s receive a $2 discount on registration for each event entered. More information such as route and location can be found on their website.

The Consolvo Hub City Challenge Mountain Bike Series kicks off for their second year on May 17th. The six race series takes place at the Dieppe Rotary Park and takes place every Tuesday from May 17th to June 21st. Velo NB members and license holders receive a $2 discount on each race that they enter. Visit their Facebook page for more information.
