Velo NB is proud to acknowledge the efforts of Matt Kinnie at the Defi Sportif AlterGo para-cycling event in Montreal. The hand-cycling event took place on the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, on Ile Notre-Dame. Matt competed in both the Time Tiral, and the Road Race in the H2 category. He finished 4th overall in the road race, and 10th in the TT. The trip to AlterGo also netted some big personal goals for Matt.
Cyclists from all over NB gave up a sunny morning to attend the lecture portion of the Sprockids training given by none other that Sprockids founder Doug Detwiller, eventually outside they completed the practical application. From the pics, it looks like they had a good time.
Are you or do you know a Post-secondary Education Student looking for summer employment? This summer, VeloNB would like to hire one possibly two students for a minimum of 8 weeks (up to 16 weeks) through the New Brunswick SEED Program. The focus of the position will be developing touring routes/content for our website, helping with Cycling events and being an ambassador for VeloNB. Qualifications would be enrolled in a program related to business, tourism or sport. Knowledge in the cycling industry and WordPress is an asset but not necessary!
